What can we say about Leonardo da Vinci that has not already been said? Polymath, genius, Master. Designer, painter, architect.
But what you may not know is that he only painted four female portraits in his entire career. This lecture will focus on these four paintings, explaining some of the symbolism that was so common in the Renaissance. We will put him into historical context and learn about his character and legacy – particularly of the Mona Lisa or ‘La Giocanda’ one of the most famous portraits in the world.
