Barron & Larcher Talk at Pegasus Art Saturday 25th October 11am - 12pm in Studio One
As part of the Autumn Arts Trail 2025, I will be hosting a lecture about a fascinating couple.
Phyllis Barron and Dorothy Larcher were pioneering textile designers at the forefront of a revival in hand-block printing in Britain. They moved to Painswick in the 1930’s, whilst in their forties, and built an impressive business selling to clients such as Coco Chanel and the Duke of Westminster.
They were well known in the village and walked around in their own designs - they were a truly unique design duo!
